A Canterlot Wedding

A Canterlot Wedding aired for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately it was the last episode of this season meaning we probably have to wait all summer for more MLP. Hang in there bronies! If you have't seen this episode yet click here before you read any more of this post and I spoil it for you.

Changeling Queen

So, Shining Armor finally got to marry the real Cadence and he seems very happy with his new ball and chain. I am very disappointed with Princess Celestia. Can she beat anypony? I'm not sure if she should be princess. She couldn't stop Discord, Nightmare Moon, or the queen of the Changelings. If it wasn't for Twilight and her friends, Equestria would have a forever lasting night, be complete chaos, and have all its love eaten out of it. I'm glad the ponies didn't use the elements of Harmony to stop the changelings. The elements were getting kind of played.

The ponies kicked the changelings out of Canterlot, but didn't it look like they were just thrown into some other part of Equestria where they could attack some other town?

I loved the episode though, and I especially liked the song This Day Aria. Watch the video for the song at the bottom of this post!

How Old is Granny Smith?

   Most of you know Granny Smith. (Maybe not personally, but you probably know who she is.) So, how old is our favorite My Little Pony Grandma? Ponies can sometimes live to be 40 years old. Most ponies live to be somewhere between 20 and 30 years old. Are the My Little Pony ponies just like other ponies? Or do they live as long as humans? 
   The show never says how old Granny Smith is. But we do know that she helped start Ponyville with the Zap Apples. So, Ponyville is a fairly new town, right? Wrong! In the episode Winter Wrap Up, Spike asked Twilight why she can't use magic to change the season. Twilight says that Ponyville was started by earth ponies. (Granny Smith and her Pa.) And for hundreds of years they never used magic to change the seasons.
   Recap: Granny Smith helped start Ponyville. Ponyville has been around for hundreds of years. Granny Smith isn't dead yet.... So, we know Granny Smith is at least 200 years old.......
That's pretty much all we know about how old Granny Smith is. unless you added she's Applejack's Grandma.
Hopefully in a future episode, we'll learn more about Granny Smith and maybe even how old she is.

A Canterlot Wedding Previews

So I've seen a bunch of commercials about the Royal Wedding, but this one makes it look awesome!!! BTW, it shows what cake Applejack will make for the wedding so I think that's the answer to the vote on the Hub. Click me to vote. (It showed cake number 2 in the commercial.)
  I want to see the pony clones! Was it some kind of magic spell gone wrong? Since anypony who's anypony will be there, I will definitely be there. (And by there I mean watching it on TV.)

  When Shining Armor marries Princess Celestia's niece, will Twilight be Princess Celestia's niece ,too?

Why Spike Doesn't Have Wings in Secret of My Excess

Some of the Bronys are upset that in the episode Secret of My Excess, Spike didn't have wings. These are some suggestions of why he didn't have wings.

1. Dragons are like ponies. Some have wings some don't. Some have horns some don't. Spike -like earth ponies- have neither.
    

2. There are three ways a dragon grows up. The first one is magic. Magic makes the baby dragon grow up like in The Cutie Mark Chronicles. The second type is when greediness makes a dragon grow up like in Secret of My Excess. The third way is when a dragon grows up the same way everypony else does: growing old over the years. When Spike grows up by getting old, he'll probably have wings. Just like when kids get older, they grow pimples... Well, kind of like that.

3. Maybe the people who make this show forgot to draw him with wings.

4. This theory was submitted by jakeski. jakeski said: "It seems likely to me that Spike could be a Sea-Dragon?" Spike might not have wings at all because he is a Sea-Dragon. Maybe when he grows up naturally (not greediness) he will look more or less like the sea serpent from episode 2.

  Who is Derpy Hooves?

  Derpy Hooves: A name that will live in Brony's hearts forever. This cross-eyed pegasus is a celebrity! Though Derpy started as just an extra, she soon got speaking parts. What fans love about Derpy is her eyes. They're crossed!

Derpy Begins

Derpy was first seen with her cross-eyed look in the first episode. A fan noticed her with her strange eyes and posted a picture of her online. The picture below is her first appearance. Fans have found pretty much every Derpy appearance throughout the show.

Fans gave a lot of names to the extra ponies in the background. Such as Doctor Whooves, Bon Bon, and Octavia, but Derpy Hooves has gotten the most attention. In Winter Wrap Up, a Pony named Ditzy Doo was mentioned. Lauren Faust (the shows developer) said that it was Derpy. So, it looked like the pony's name would be Ditzy Doo. Then, in the episode the Last Roundup, Derpy was helping Rainbow Dash and Rainbow called her by her real name: Derpy. Below is the scene from Winter Wrap Up where Ditzy Doo's name is said.

Derpy's first word was: Muffin. (The video on the top on the right is Derpy saying "Muffin."

 After Derpy said Muffin, everybody assumed Derpy loved Muffins. Derpy's second speaking part was in the Last Roundup. She spoke a lot more then. (The video on the bottom on the right is Derpy's part in the Last Roundup.)

Derpy Continues

Derpy still pops up in different scenes in the show. Derpy is still just a background pony and unfortunately she is sometimes seen without her cross-eyed look. Derpy is a celebrity to fans of MLP.

Star Wars vs. My Little Pony

After Discord was defeated, the ponies had a celebration-ceremony thing. Lots of you probably noticed that the scene was a lot like the end of the movie Star Wars 4. Here's a side by side video of both scenes that was posted on Youtube by KhalidSMShahin. As you can see, the two scenes are very much alike.

News Update: My Little Pony Royal Wedding

So, most of us are probably aware of the season 2 finale in a couple weeks. (April 21, 2012.) It's about Twilight's brother, Shining Armor. He's marrying Princess Cadence. It's going to be a two-part episode. They made a toy of this a while back.

   The Hub is making a BIG deal out of this. I'm scared it's going to be one of those things where...

MMMystery on the Friendship Express

Another week, another new pony episode! MMMystery on the Friendship Express premiered 
today at noon. Did anypony else notice that in season 1 and 2 the episode before the season finale was a Pinkie Pie episode? I'm sure some of you recognized Doughnut Joe from The Best Night Ever. His picture's on the left.


Did anypony figure out who the culprit was before Pinkie and Twilight did? Some of you might not have seen this episode, so I don't want to give away too much. I guessed who it was when the curtains all came down at the same time and I did notice that you-know-who-if-you-saw-this-episode was wearing their hair differently.


I liked the part where the griffon tied Pinkie to the train tracks and it was like an old movie where stuff happens then the words show up on the screen.

  Season 2 is almost over. That means we have to wait all summer for season 3 which is currently being produced. Here is a list of the episodes from season 2 that are coming:

1) Season 2 Episode 24:  MMMystery on the Friendship Express: A cake Pinkie Pie is guarding for a contest is ruined on the way to Canterlot and an investigation begins. This episode will be aired for the first time in the U.S. on April 7, 2012.

2) Season 2 Episode 25: A Canterlot Wedding - Part 1: In the first episode of this two-part season finale, when Twilight discovers that her older brother, Shining Armor, is marrying Princess Celestia's niece, Cadence. This episode will be aired for the first time in the U.S. on April 21, 2012.

3) Season 2 episode 26: A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2: Twilight discovers a dark secret about Cadence right before the wedding. This episode will be aired for the first time in the U.S. on April 21, 2012.
